one deep breath haiku: friends

bending in the storm
strong, old, deep-rooted willow
umbrella of love
constant, sheltering cover,
faithful sister, steadfast friend

Great poem! And isn't it wonderful to have friends like this?

Nice! I adore willows. And the two elderly ladies supporting each other is such a wondful photo to use with your poem.

there is usually a phrase or line that stands out when i read poetry, but i cannot choose here

they all speak to me

i love your photo also; it reminds me of fabric in one of my grandmother's dresses--thanks for bringing back the memories
