one deep breath haiku: shelter

lizard mimics rock
rabbit turns from brown to white
cryptic resemblance

man speaks chameleon
shades of meaning color truth
safety of disguise

John Singer Sargent, well known for his serious, formal portraits, also did this...for himself.

The shelter of camouflage, lovely idea for your haiku. The second one speaks to me of politicians changing their words to find best political advantage....

Beautiful painting too.

This is a form of shelter I didn't think of. Great thinking, and good poems.
